NHS-Funded Eye Tests
Most people over 60 in the UK qualify for an NHS-funded eye test. We check this for you as part of our booking process.

Private Eye Tests
If you don't qualify for NHS funding, our standard home eye test fee is just £60.
NHS optical vouchers can be used as a contribution towards the cost of any of our glasses.
NHS Eligibility
You qualify for a free NHS-funded eye test if you:
- Are aged 60 or over
- Are under 16 or under 19 and in full-time education
- Have been diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma
- Are 40 or over and have a family history of glaucoma
- Have been advised by an ophthalmologist that you're at risk of glaucoma
- Are registered as partially sighted or blind
- Receive certain benefits, including Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, or Pension Credit Guarantee Credit

NHS Optical Vouchers
If you're eligible for an NHS-funded eye test, you may also qualify for an NHS optical voucher to help with the cost of your glasses or contact lenses. This includes:
- Children under 16 or under 19 and in full-time education
- Adults who receive certain benefits or tax credits
- People with complex prescriptions
Voucher values range from approximately £39 to £215, depending on your prescription. Our optician will explain your entitlement during your eye test.
