Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Home Eye Clinic. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (homeeyeclinic.co.uk) and services. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Service Description

Home Eye Clinic provides professional eye testing and optical services in the comfort of your home. Our services include eye examinations, prescriptions for glasses, provision of eyewear, and aftercare services. All eye tests are conducted by qualified opticians registered with the General Optical Council.

3. Booking and Appointments

By booking an appointment with us, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete personal and medical information
  • Be present at the agreed location, date, and time
  • Notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule
  • Provide a suitable environment for the eye test to be conducted

We reserve the right to charge a fee for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or if we are unable to access the premises at the scheduled time.

4. Payment and NHS Funding

Payment for our services is required at the time of service unless you are eligible for NHS funding. For glasses purchases, a deposit may be required when placing your order, with the balance due upon delivery.

If you are claiming NHS funding for your eye test or optical vouchers, you are responsible for ensuring your eligibility. If the NHS later determines that you were not eligible, you will be responsible for payment of the services provided.

5. Prescription and Glasses

Eye test prescriptions are valid for the period specified (typically two years). We cannot guarantee the suitability of glasses made from your prescription by other providers.

All glasses come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your glasses, please contact us within 30 days of receiving them, and we will make adjustments or replacements as necessary.

6. Aftercare

Standard aftercare is provided free of charge for one year from the date of purchase for all glasses. This includes adjustments and minor repairs. Additional aftercare coverage is available through our CarePlus membership program, subject to separate terms.

7. Website Use

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Home Eye Clinic excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our services, except in cases of negligence or where such limitation is prohibited by law.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be on our website. By continuing to use our services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
