Everything you need to know about our home eye test service
A home eye test is just as thorough as one in a high street optician. Our optician will bring portable equipment to your home and conduct a comprehensive eye examination. This typically includes vision testing, eye health checks, and a discussion about any vision concerns you have. The test usually takes about 45 minutes.
It depends on two things. First, whether you are entitled to an NHS sight test — many people are, including anyone aged 60 or over, people with diabetes or glaucoma, and people receiving certain benefits. Second, whether the NHS will fund that test at home: it does so for people who are unable to leave home unaccompanied because of a physical or mental illness or disability. Both need to apply for a free home visit. If you are entitled to an NHS sight test but could get to a practice, you are still very welcome to be seen at home at our private fee of £60. We check all of this with you when you book, so you know the cost before we visit.

Most glasses are ready within 7-10 working days. Once ready, we'll arrange a convenient time to deliver and fit them for you.
All our glasses come with free aftercare for one year. If you need adjustments, repairs, or have any concerns, just contact us and we'll arrange a visit to help.
